Information for Speakers
Presentation Length
- APSEV Special Lecture 1: 40 minutes (35 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
- APSEV Special Lecture 2&3: 30 minutes (25 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
- APSEV Plenary Lecture: 20 minutes (17 minutes for presentation + 3 minutes for Q&A)
- APSEV Invited Lecture: 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation + 3 minutes for Q&A)
- APSEV Symposium: 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation + 3 minutes for Q&A)
Guideline for Oral Presentation
- Slide size: We recommended Widescreen (16:9).
- Presentation files must be in Windows PowerPoint 365. (*Power Point 2019 is also acceptable)
1. If bringing storage media;
- USB flash memory drive is acceptable.
- If your presentation links to still images, videos, graphs, or other data, be sure to place those files in the same folder as the Power Point data and bring them. Please confirm ahead of time that the PowerPoint file can be used on a PC different from the one it was created on. Videos are limited to those which can be played back on Windows Media Player. Audio may be used.
- The playback of videos using animation is not guaranteed if the Power Point version is different.
- For smooth proceedings, do not use “Presenter Tools.”
- Please register your data at the PC Reception (Speakers Preview Center), at least 30 minutes prior to your presentation. The presentation file name must include the session name, the presentation number, and your name.

2. If bringing your own PC;
- We recommend that you bring back-up data of your presentation, including the original data of videos and graphics, in USB flash memory.
- Ensure that your computer is equipped with a HDMI output.
If your PC does not have this connection, please bring an appropriate connector with you, along with the relevant adapter. (Please note that the presentation may not be possible without your connector and/or adaptor.) - Please bring all required connection cables and AC adaptor for your own PC.
- Videos may be used, but please confirm ahead of time that it can be played back on the PC you will be using. In some cases, the video will play on the PC's LCD screen but not on a screen connected for external display. Please connect a monitor or projector to the external output of the PC you will be using for your presentation and confirm that the video can be played. Please note that videos created on a PC other than the one used for the presentation may not be playable.
- Please disable screensavers and battery-saving settings ahead of time.
- Please do not use “Presenter Tools.”

*Speakers should preview their presentation data in checking of the connection, and complete to register it at least 30 minutes prior to your session.
Any copies of your presentation data which the Secretariat has received will be deleted after the meeting.
Guideline For Poster Presentation
During the poster presentation session, please stand b by your poster to present your work and answer questions from attendees.
Poster Specifications
- Poster size: We recommend A0 size
*The display panel measures H210cm×W90cm. Please ensure your poster fits within these dimensions.
- Pins will be provided at the site. Do not post using adhesives or write directly on to the panel.
- Please note that any posters remaining over the removal time will be disposed of by the Secretariat.

APSEV Poster AwardSponsored by EVCNA
- Candidates for APSEV Poster Award are required to give an oral presentation to the judges when they visit your poster. (Presentation time: strictly 3 minutes, followed by 1–2 minutes for Q&A)
- The APSEV Poster Award, sponsored by EVCNA, will be presented at the Closing Ceremony on October 23 (Fri.) at 6:10 p.m.
